Casa Papel’s consultative studio layout focuses on functionality, accessibility, and interactivity, while stimulating the senses. In one area, vibrant decorative papers are displayed on wooden hangers, allowing clients to see them up close and in full detail. The other walls display our five different specialty lines of paper and envelopes in our exclusive color palette. The overall accessibility allows clients to carry the papers throughout the studio as you choose other items and/or accessories to coordinate.
The studio offers the largest selection of decorative papers in the area, including Japanese prints. Casa Papel features over 100 different colors in our specialty lines, including an exclusive offering of 25 colors in Japanese linen card stock. All of the papers and products at Casa Papel are of the highest quality and hand selected by the owners. Casa Papel also carries an eco-friendly line of paper made from a shrub that regenerates after its material is harvested to produce paper. Several of our other offerings are eco-friendly too, as the owners seek papers made from natural and renewable resources when selecting additions to the collection. Fair trade practices are further emphasized and considered in choosing the studio’s other products.

Meet the Owners
Cecilia and Nestor Torres opened their design studio and specialty paper store in Philadelphia in early 2009. Combining Cecilia's already thriving home-based business and Nestor's desire to own his own business, their dreams are both indicative of their personalities, with creativity as the driving force behind their business.
During a night out salsa dancing, Nestor met his future wife Cecilia, who was living in Portland, Oregon. With their mutual interests in Latin dancing, art, traveling, and cooking traditional Latin food, it didn't take long for them to fall in love. They were married in 2005.
The concept of Casa Papel began after Cecilia experienced frustration while planning their wedding. She realized that traveling from store to store for each particular service or paper supply was tedious. A one-stop-shop was needed. With Nestor's experience in business, along with Cecilia's love of handmade crafts and natural knack for design, the two combined their talents to open Casa Papel.
Cecilia and Nestor are nurturing their business, growing and expanding their products and services, and offering creative solutions. The unparalleled creative opportunities continue to make for a unique hands-on experiences for their clients.
